A group of people carrying a canvas was dissolved this afternoon by Carabineros officials on the Plaza Baquedamo esplanade, when they tried to hold a demonstration in support of the demands of the Mapuche people.
In the place were soldiers and uniformed police, who through a megaphone made several calls to the protesters to leave the place, considering the prevailing measures due to the current health crisis and that prohibit the gathering of more than ten people in public places.

The machi Celestino Córdova confirmed this Friday the start of a dry hunger strike and held the Government of Sebastián Piñera responsible for the possible consequences of his decision.
After the protesters did not agree to leave the place, there were about twenty arrests by the uniformed police.
