Democrats: programming error cause chaos at Iowa result

Employees of the Democratic Party in Iowa say that the results of yesterday’s primaries in their state are not yet known due to a programming error. Now that the problem is out of date, the results of the caucus meetings in Iowa are being announced as soon as possible, but at least today.

Yesterday, voters gathered here in around 1,600 gyms, libraries, and other locations to express their support for one of the eleven Democratic candidates. The first step towards the election of Democratic and Republican presidential candidates traditionally always takes place in Iowa.

The results of all those meetings have been correctly recorded, but not all data has been transmitted correctly due to a programming error, the party now reports. Although there is no result yet, both Senator Bernie Sanders and his rival Pete Buttegieg have expressed triumphantly about his performance in Iowa.

“Irreparable disaster”

President Trump, who himself was behind 97 percent of Republican voters in Iowa, called the Democratic consternation around the results on Twitter an “irreparable disaster.”
