As the Danish striker Martin Braithwaite had to be recruited as a medical joker to compensate for the injury of the world champion, observed just after the closing of the winter transfer window, the Catalan club was forced to remove the French from the list of qualified players to compete the championship. However, the health protocol, implemented by the governing bodies and the health authorities, reserves the screening tests for footballers registered for La Liga.
Five months of deficiency
In mid-April, the Spanish media ABC reported that Barça had to wait until July 11 to re-register Ousmane Dembélé in the league. This is explained by the regulations of the Liga, imposing a deficiency of five months from the surgical operation performed on the player.
In Spain, screening tests have been carried out on Tuesday on footballers. This is a prerequisite for their return to training. This can only take place 48 hours after obtaining the green light following the examination.
