What is this protocol?
Produced by the Ministry of Education, with the support of the certification company Bureau Veritas, this 63-page document specifies reopening of schools

What cleaning to plan
before the schools start again ?
The rooms, having been used during confinement, in particular to accommodate the children of caregivers, must be disinfected. For premises which have been vacant for at least five days, the probability of the presence of the virus on surfaces is almost zero
, explains the ministry. All rooms, which have not been cleaned before, will not be able to accommodate students.
What should parents do each morning?
They will need to take the temperature of their child (ren) before leaving for school. In case of fever (from 37.8 ° C) or symptoms, the students will stay at home. School staff should do the same

What discipline in school?
Students must respect a distance of at least one meter between themselves, around and on arrival at the school. Crossings should also be very limited.
This same respect for distancing will impose itself in class, in the playground, in the corridors, in the canteen, in the toilets.
What hand cleaning?
Lasting a minimum of thirty seconds (with soap or gel, and drying with a disposable paper towel or in the open air), it will be essential as soon as children arrive at school; before returning to class after recess; before and after each meal; before and after each visit to the toilet; after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing; once the students have touched possibly contaminated objects; in the evening before going home.
What prohibitions in class?
Exchanges of balloons, toys, pencils should be avoided or accompanied by disinfection after each use.
Masks for whom?
The National Education will make available to teachers (two per day) from May 11. The town halls must also provide for their agents. Elementary school children (CP-CM2) can wear it if they wish, provided that their parents provide it. Kindergarten children will not wear it, except in case of health problem. Each school will also receive FFP1 masks in case students show signs of Covid-19.
What change of air?
Each room used must be ventilated ten minutes – at least – in the morning just before the arrival of the students; during each recess; at lunch time; in the evening during the cleaning of the premises. If there is mechanical ventilation, it should be checked regularly

What to do after class?
Every end of the afternoon, the premises that have received children must be scrupulously cleaned: floors, doors and handles, latches, tables, chairs, switches, teaching materials, games and toys, outdoor games, toilets, sinks, taps, flushes of water…
