Declaration of the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the accession of some countries to the Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/1241 on the implementation of specific measures in the fight against terrorism

On 18 July 2022, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2022/1241 ¹.

This Council decision updated and repealed Decision (CFSP) 2022/152. The list of persons, groups and organizations to which Articles 2, 3 and 4 of Common Position 2001/931/CFSP apply is included in the Annex to this Decision.

This declaration is joined by the candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, the possible candidate country Bosnia and Herzegovina ^[2] and EFTA countries Iceland and Liechtenstein, members of the European Economic Area.

They will ensure that their national policies comply with this Council decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
