THE BALL – Gonçalo Inácio on the verge of half a hundred (Sporting)

He was not one of the first youngsters to be released by Rúben Amorim in the post-pandemic – he debuted only in the following season, in 2020/2021 -, but of the many who had the privilege of playing for the main team, he was one of the few who knew how to conquer his space in the squad and become a starter in the Sporting team, as happened with Nuno Mendes, and happens with Matheus Nunes.

Gonçalo Inácio is now one of Rúben Amorim’s indisputable players and, in the next round of the League, against Rio Ave, in Alvalade, he will reach an unprecedented record in his career, having played his 50th game in the League.

It was on October 4, 2020 that he debuted for the main team, in a leonine victory in Portimão.
