She leaves behind children Hugo (14) and Eloise (12), and her husband Sebastian Bowen.
James was well known from the Instagram page “Bowel Babe” where she tells about the long fight against bowel cancer. She also made a name for herself in the BBC podcast “You, Me and the Big C” where she also openly shared about the cancer diagnosis.

– Not planning to die
In May, she published a post in which she said goodbye to his followersand in the same post, she encouraged them to donate money to organizations that help cancer patients.
Last month, she also came up with an update for her followers. James was afraid of falling asleep, and in an interview with The Sun she explained why, writes Sky News:

– I do not plan to die right away, but it’s just so unpredictable. I’m afraid of falling asleep, and that’s one of the biggest reasons I’m so tired. I’m scared to sleep, she said at the time.
In recent weeks, the 40-year-old received treatment from home, and in the interview she praised the family for the care and love they have shown.
– I think my family is exhausted, they have all been amazing. They have outdone themselves to take care of me and nurture me. What I have seen from them in the last two weeks is true love, deep love. It’s overwhelming. They have been amazing, she said.
