This Thursday, August 20, shortly before 6 p.m., a 15-year-old girl died, while firefighters were responding to a fire in an apartment building in the Talensac district, in Nantes. The criminal trail is favored by investigators.

Thursday August 20 at the end of the day, the firefighters intervene for a fire in the attic of an apartment building, rue Adolphe Moitié, in the district of Talensac, in Nantes. A young girl of 15, in cardio-respiratory arrest is taken out of the house.
After an attempt at resuscitation by the emergency services, the victim was declared dead by the SMUR doctor.
Very quickly, the criminal trail was considered, two fires having been identified by the firefighters. The latter also indicated that the body of the young girl gave off a chemical odor, which could make think of bleach.
An investigation for intentional homicide has been opened, the Nantes judicial police told us.
This Friday, August 21, the deputy prosecutor of Nantes Olivier Bonhomme announced the first findings in this case. He said there was not necessarily a link between the fire and the death of the teenager. He added that the fire could have served to mask the homicide, without confirmation at this time.
The flames did start from two different places. The autopsy will confirm whether the death was caused by strangulation. It will also make it possible to identify any traces of sexual violence.
Going to find a package
The facts would have unfolded very quickly. The teenager lived on rue Adolphe Moitié but in a different house than the one where she was found, located a few tens of meters away. At 4 p.m., she would have gone to get a package. Around 5 p.m., her mother, not seeing her return, became worried. The firefighters intervened at 5:50 p.m.
