Lawyer Brigadier Joshua or Brigadier J, Kamarudin Simanjuntak, demanded to apologize for bringing up the name Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) in the client’s case. However, until the 2×24 hour deadline, Tuesday (26/7), Kamarudin Simanjuntak never apologized to Ahok.
“Not yet (there has been an apology from Kamaruddin Simanjuntak). And Mr. BTP already knows about Kamarudin Simanjuntak’s response,” Ahmad Ramzy, Ahok’s lawyer, told AFP, Wednesday (27/7/2022).
Previously, Ramzy said he would report Kamarudin Simanjuntak to the police if you don’t apologize, today, Wednesday (27/7). Even so, Ramzy said his party would only decide to take legal steps next week.

“Regarding the police report, he said it would be decided next week to make a police report or not,” said Ramzy.
Ramzy has not detailed the reason for delaying the police report from Ahok. He only mentioned that Ahok’s busyness was a consideration for the police report, which would be decided next week.
“Because he is busy,” said Ramzy.
Ahok’s lawyer has consulted with investigators
Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) lawyer, Ahmad Ramzy, on Monday (25/7) visited the Jakarta Metro Police to consult about Ahok’s plan to report to Brigadier J’s lawyer, Kamarudin Simanjuntak.
Ramzy admitted that he consulted about Kamarudin’s remarks which brought up the name Ahok and his wife, Puput Nastiti Devi. According to Ramzy, the words of Kamarudin Simanjuntak have a criminal charge.
“I have consulted with investigators that according to investigators, there are enough elements to link defamation and false news,” said Ramzy at the Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Monday (25/7).
