De Rode Duivels Qualifies for 2022 World Cup

Belgian National Team seal place in 2022 World Cup after beating Estonia in the qualifying round. De Rode Duivels won 3-1.

Group E’s eighth matchday Euro 2022 World Cup qualifiers Belgium vs Estonia. The match was held at the King Baudouin Stadium, Sunday (11/14/2021) early morning WIB.

GOAL! Belgium opened the scoring when the game had only been running for eleven minutes. Christian Benteke managed to break into the Estonian goal through close range kick. The home team is leading 1-0.

Benteke almost doubled Belgium’s lead in the 21st minute. His header ball in the Estonioa penalty box hit the goal.

Belgium continued to pound the Estonian back line before half-time, but no additional goals were created. The first half closed with the score 1-0 to De Rode Duivels.

2-0! Belgium scored their second goal eight minutes after the break. Long range shot Yannick Carrasco slid into the Estonian goal without being dammed by goalkeeper Matvey Igonen.

2-1! Estonia minimized the gap in the 70th minute. Erik Sorga scored with a kick ball from the Belgian penalty box.

3-1! Belgium replied four minutes later. Thorn Hazard welcomed Kevin De Bruyne’s cross with a header which resulted in the home team’s third goal.

The score 3-1 for Belgium lasted until the game ended. The additional three points ensure Kevin De Bruyne et al qualify for the 2022 World Cup with 19 points in Group E, five points ahead of Wales in second place with one game remaining.
