Cycle of lectures for Latin American teachers on the digital world – Aptus

More than a thousand teachers from Latin America and the Caribbean will participate from next Monday in the conference cycle “Challenges for educational policies, schools and teachers after the pandemic” to reflect on the future of education in relation to the digital world, reported the organizers.

The meetings, organized by the National Pedagogical University (UNIPE) and the International Education in Latin America (IEAL), will take place from May to December.

“The cycle aims to address from a general and broad perspective the challenges of the world and the digital culture in which we find ourselves immersed, which accelerated the process of relationship between digital technologies and education that had been taking place in societies, as well as disputes around the appropriation by some corporations and foundations of the devices and their uses, in line with a growing commercialization ”, said in a statement the president of the IEAL Regional Committee, Hugo Yasky.

More than 1,000 interested parties throughout Latin America signed up for this cycle of conferences, which is intended for union representatives, technical teams, teachers and managers who are members of the Education International for Latin America and the Caribbean.

“Through the various perspectives, we will seek to understand the advances, scope, effects and consequences of the digital world that we are building and the pedagogical use of digital technologies in the classroom, an issue that was particularly growing as a consequence of the pandemic”, assured the rectum of the National Pedagogical University, Adrián Cannellotto.

The lectures can be accessed live from the Unipe YouTube channel at 11 am according to the scheduled schedule.

Likewise, the material that arises as a product of this cycle will be published and will be accessible in different formats on the websites of both institutions, they reported.
