The Government asks Granadilla to review the license of the La Tejita hotel | Radio Club Tenerife | Present

The Councilor for Ecological Transition, José Antonio Valbuena, has gone one step further and has asked in the plenary session of the Parliament of the Canary Islands that the Granadilla City Council review the license after the precautionary stoppage of Costas of works of the luxury hotel on the beach of La Tejita (Granadilla, Tenerife).

According to Valbuena, the Ministry of Ecological Transition is waiting for the final closure of the delimitation file to act forcefully and asks the council led by José Domingo Regalado (CC) to join in that attitude.

In fact, the head of the Ecological Transition has revealed that he will send a letter to the Government team to preventively suspend the works. In his view, this could avoid future payments of compensation “very harmful” to municipal accounts and could prevent past mistakes.

“The City Council of Granadilla was the one who suspiciously granted two weeks before the start of the maritime-land demarcation file by Costas; it was granted with a diligence that is not usual in Granadilla because it is among those who take the longest to grant any type of licenses to avoid a stoppage that would have been immediate. And so we could talk about other coincidences even before this counselor took office, “said Valbuena.

This is how the counselor responded to a question from the Podemos deputy, Manuel Marrero, who has asked him to mediate before the Ministry of Ecological Transition so that they dismiss the person in charge of Coasts in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for “his inaction regarding the file” of the La Tejita hotel promoted by the construction company Viqueria.
