Cybersecurity. 500 French hackers expected in Rennes for the Breizh CTF

85 participants in 2015 when it was created, around 300 five years later and this year there will be half a thousand… The BreizhCTF is back to Rennes Friday night 1is to Saturday April 2, 2022, in the prestigious site of the Couvent des Jacobins congress center, in the historic center of Rennes.

Nearly 500 hackers from all over France, beginners as well as experienced, students or employees, are expected. The youngest is 14 years old and will be accompanied by his parents.

Initiated by the ethical hackers SaxX and Kaluche, the BreizhCTF is a challenge organized by the Bretagne regional agency for innovation development, as part of its mission to lead the cybersecurity sector, with the support of the Brittany region and Rennes metropolis.

The doors of the BreizhCTF will open on Friday, from 2 p.m., to welcome high school students who have come to meet the cyber community and to discover cybersecurity professions.

The other main meetings

Also on Friday, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., a “ hack & job » or reverse recruitment forum: candidates come to meet sponsors and companies in the area in order to find out about projects and recruitment needs, in partnership with Rennes Métropole.

From 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., a session of rumps », a veritable open stage, during which the participants share with the community technical subjects, emerging application contexts, personal points of view, tips, etc.

At 7:15 p.m., talk by Alex Berger entitled The Legends Office or how a subject of technical expertise inspires artistic productions. At 7:45 p.m., The last fifteen years of French cybersecurity through the prism of its national agency, by Guillaume Poupard, director general of the National Agency for Information Systems Security.

The highlight of the BreizhCTF challenge will be the competition Capture the flagorganized Friday evening, from 9 p.m. until 8 a.m., on Saturday morning.
