Over the past few months, CD Projekt RED has been sending a lot of positive information to gamers. They will delight not only fans of the Witcher universe, but also fans of cyberpunk. Although the second part is still far away, an addition to Cyberpunk 2077 called Phantom Liberty, or, if you prefer, “game of the year” will help make the wait more pleasant.
CD Projekt RED will release Cyberpunk 2077 as a GOTY version next year. CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiczynski has revealed that the new edition of the game is identical to The Witcher 3.
This is the natural order of things: it was the same with The Witcher, which ended up being released as Game of the Year Edition after both expansions and has remained on the market ever since. The same can be expected in this case. This is completely obvious.
According to the information provided by the CEO of the company, Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY will be released after the release of the Phantom Liberty add-on, which, by the way, will be included in the aforementioned version of the game along with a significant update (of course, this means that the CP2077 GOTY will bypass previous generation consoles). The special edition will be offered at “full price”.
“The target version of ‘Game of the Year’ CP2077 will be right after the update and with the new expansion included. This version will be available at ‘full’ price. What else to expect here”
Kichinski added.
As previously announced, the Phantom Liberty DLC will only be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
