It’s started: the studio CD Projekt Red has announced that its game Cyberpunk 2077, which comes out in September 2020, will use the Smart Delivery feature for the Xbox.
Smart Delivery, which was detailed this morning by Phil Spencer of Xbox, will allow players to purchase certain games only once to play them on Xbox Series X and Xbox One.
Earlier today, Microsoft announced that games from Microsoft Studios would use this technology, so the player could purchase only one copy of the game so they could play it on both consoles. The company said the technology would be available to developers, however, but participating studios were not announced. CD Projekt Red opens the ball!

“Gamers should never be forced to buy the same game twice or pay for updates,” it says.
Hopefully other studios will follow suit! Your move, Sony. Those who will buy Last of Us 2 on the PS4 will they have to buy it again on the PS5?
