Ludwigshafen (dpa / lrs) – The 68th Mardi Gras parade in the sister cities of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim is under the motto “Flower Power”. The fools organize their spectacle alternately on this side and on the other side of the Rhine – this year it’s Ludwigshafen’s turn again. “When looking for a motto, we landed on 1968 – hence Flower Power”, says Iris Joch from the congress and marketing company Lukom. The guest of honor is the former presenter of the legendary music show “Beat Club”, Uschi Nerke (76).

The foolish Lindwurm includes around 2500 active people and is being monitored for the first time with a police drone. The Interior Ministry also announced on Friday that it would strengthen security after the alleged racist attack in Hanau, Hesse.
