A 57-year-old Dutch woman, her 25-year-old daughter and her 22-year-old son died while hiking in the Swiss Alps.
The bodies were found according to the Swiss police Found on Friday afternoon near a steep path on the Rochers-de-Naye.
The Dutch trio had been missing since Wednesday morning. The alarm was raised on Thursday. The son lived in the Lausanne region. The mother and daughter were on vacation.
The police received a report on Thursday evening because nothing had been heard from the trio for a day and a half. A large-scale search was then launched. Helicopters and several patrol units were deployed.
The bodies lay about 300 meters below the steep path. The police and the public prosecutor have launched an investigation into the incident, although the police assume it was a fatal accident.
