This success was important because it gave BIG a much easier opponent in the quarterfinals than it would have otherwise been the case. Instead of the currently powerful one ENCE BIG met the Turkish quintet from Eternal Fire – and thus to an old acquaintance: İsmailсan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş still played for the Berlin team a year ago. Again not everything went perfectly for BIG and the team lost Dust II in overtime, but Overpass and Nuke went quite clearly to the five Germans who are in the semifinals.

Not only would that be a satisfying success for the team, a victory in the semifinals also means an enormous financial jump: While a top 4 finish brings in only around 14,000 euros, reaching the final guarantees prize money of around 47,000 euros. The tournament winner, on the other hand, can expect 140,000 euros as a wage.
