Announced with great fanfare by Crytek before having taken a backhand like rarely seen in the genre, the revised and corrected version of the classic first-person shooter Crysis had seen take a few weeks – we could even say months – additional to fine tune its arrival on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC initially set for July 23 as discovered by Internet users in a leak on the official YouTube channel of the developer in June.
Crysis Remastered is finally being granted a new official release date for these platforms and it will likely not be long before we rediscover the technical feat of 2007 on consoles today – and very soon yesterday.

Rarely the first to receive the honor of porting of this kind, the Nintendo Switch has already hosted Crysis Remastered in its catalog last July; a porting carried out in tandem with the wizards of Saber Interactive (already responsible for the porting of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Nintendo’s hybrid) which had commanded respect not only by its sheer existence, but by its technical achievement, demonstrating some of the pangs that this new version of the CryEngine has to offer on a particular console like this.

We are far, far from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 port of 2011 which had little to offer except a starving framerate and the possibility of saying “my home console is running. Crysis« … Crysis Remastered will be out on PS4, XBox One and PC on September 18th.
