French Cross Championships in Montauban
In female juniors, we expected Liza Lambert (Pays de Paimpol Athletics), champion of Brittany in Carhaix, and it was Laure Bertrand (EA Pays de Brocéliande) who raised her arms on Sunday in Quercy. Absent in the regional, the Bretilian, trained in her club by Jean-Paul Coutil, created a big surprise and qualifies for the European Championships which will take place in Ireland next month.

On the other hand, we expected a little better from Brestois Arsène Guillorel, 11th in the elite race. “I left probably a little too quickly. I left feathers. But I did my race afterwards, I am not disappointed. Given the competition, I think I am in my place today, ”reacted the athlete from the Stade Brestois who had flown over the regions two weeks ago. Maël Gouyette (HBA), second of these “Brittany” and first hope, finished in a very modest 48th place. We expected much better from Rennais.
The good surprise came from Florian Le Pallec (AP L’Orient), 15th, and 3rd in hopes.
