Previously, he declared all members of the Croatian government who are in favor of the membership of Sweden and Finland in NATO as traitors.

“I will veto the NATO summit, depending on where the invitation is. Like the devil, a sinful soul, I will persecute every representative who is in favor,” Milanovic said today.

On 27 April, he stated that Finland and Sweden could not join the alliance until Bosnia and Herzegovina changed its electoral law. Milanovic is pushing for electoral reform in BiH to ensure “legitimate representation of Croats”.

The Croatian parliament must vote for NATO expansion. As writes Euractiva number of parliamentarians share Milanovic’s argument about the rights of Croats in BiH and may not approve of Sweden and Finland joining the alliance.

On April 21, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced that he was cutting off all contact with Milanovic because he was “a manipulator and a person with pro-Russian views.”
