With the MediaPad T1 10.1, Huawei is trying to bring a decent tablet to the market at a competitive price. Unfortunately, the company did not fully achieve its goal.
With a price of 199 euros, Huawei wants to offer a decent tablet at a reasonable price. However, when looking at the specifications of the MediaPad, we notice that the Chinese company has not fully achieved its goal. For just under $200 you get 1GB of RAM, 16GB of memory, a 1280 by 800 pixel screen resolution and the somewhat outdated Android KitKat. In this price range, these specifications are certainly not bad, but there are several brands that do significantly better. For example, Toshiba offers a tablet for the same price, but with twice the RAM and memory.
The big advantage of the MediaPad, however, is support for 4G LTE. In this price range, mobile internet support is almost non-existent and in this area the tablet manages to exceed its budget price. The battery, which lasted seven and a half hours in our test, also charmed us. This combination makes the tablet ideal for anyone who wants to be able to perform light tasks almost anywhere.
