Robbery, assault ?? so-called youth gangs keep making headlines. How the police and the judiciary react and why the streets of Würzburg are not unsafe.
The police now know around 120 young people and adolescents who belong to several small groups from which crimes were committed in the first half of 2020. The police cannot yet state the number of crimes. But it is more than in the comparable period in 2019. Nevertheless, some things have relaxed. In April 2019 “youth gangs” made headlines, who committed 70 robbery and bodily harm offenses in Würzburg between the end of 2018 and spring 2019 ?? including stabbing and brutal street robbery.
