Crime Spree in Bamberg: Stolen Goods, Traffic Accidents, and More

On Saturday morning, at around 9:00 a.m., there was a traffic accident escape in the Kaufland car park on Forchheimer Straße. Here a 77-year-old cyclist touched a white car and fell. A previously unknown driver would then have taken care of the old lady. The damaged vehicle could not be found when the accident was recorded. At around 10:35 a.m. on Saturday morning, a Bamberg radio patrol on Starkenfeldstraße noticed an electric scooter that was driving without a license plate. BREITENGÜSSBACH: In a supermarket in the commercial park, an unknown person tried to steal several packs of tobacco worth over 50 euros on Saturday afternoon. The perpetrator was observed and then fled in an orange Audi A2, leaving the stolen goods behind. As part of the search, the vehicle sought was found abandoned in the industrial area and locked. Since it obviously contained further stolen property and the perpetrator’s clothing, this was secured after consultation with the public prosecutor’s office. In the further course of the search, a Georgian was caught as a possible perpetrator. The suspect had other potential stolen goods (five e-cigarettes) in his pocket, which were also secured. The 25-year-old was released after personal identification and identification treatment.

ASCHBACH: During the night from Friday to Saturday, unknown perpetrators stole two pedelecs that were parked locked in a company car park on Concorde-Strasse. It was a red and black Pegasus women’s bike and a gray and red Haibike men’s bike. The theft damage amounts to approx. 6500 euros. Who made suspicious observations?

BISCHBERG: On Saturday afternoon, an unknown person shot an air gun or an airsoft gun at a window of a property on Weipelsdorfer Strasse. This damaged the outer pane of the double glazing. Forchheim:

Pinzberg. Around 1:00 p.m., a 30-year-old motorcyclist drove on the district road between Pinzberg and Gosberg. At the junction towards Elsenberg, he was overlooked by a 71-year-old car driver who was turning. The KRAD driver who had the right of way fell in the ensuing collision and was seriously injured. He was transported by rescue helicopter to a hospital for further treatment. Despite the severity, the injuries were not life-threatening. The damage to the vehicles amounts to a total of EUR 20,000.

forchheim In the parking lot of a consumer market on Willy-Brandt-Allee, a 62-year-old car driver noticed damage to the rear of her car after shopping. A previously unknown driver probably damaged the car while parking and then left without permission. The damage is estimated at around EUR 1,500. The road was closed for about 1 hour due to the salvage work, with support from FFW Gößweinstein.

In Gößweinstein, OT Kleingesee, there was also a traffic accident at around 2:45 p.m. on May 20, 2023: in the center of town, at the intersection there, a 60-year-old car driver failed to see a 41-year-old car driver who had the right of way, so that accident happened. There was property damage of around 8,000 euros, fortunately none of the drivers were injured.

Hassfurt:

Hassfurt. In the period from May 17, 2023 to May 18, 2023, the 20-year-old victim parked his e-bike at the train station in Haßfurt.
