Ludwigshafen (dpa / lrs) – After the violent death of a 17-year-old in Ludwigshafen, the police arrested a suspect of the same age. The 17-year-old was put on by late Friday evening by forces from the Rhineland-Palatinate Special Operations Command, the police in Ludwigshafen said on Saturday. The investigating judge at Frankenthal District Court ordered custody for the German. The 17-year-old is under urgent suspicion of having killed the young woman. No further details were given.
The 17-year-old died on Friday afternoon, the police said. She had been found seriously injured on a bank on Thursday evening. The homicide team had started an investigation. A witness had seen a man run away.
