Crelan records “very solid results” and increases its dividend to cooperators

The previous year, the dividend paid was 3%. The number of cooperative shareholders increased further in 2022, as Axa Banque customers received the possibility, subject to certain conditions, to join the cooperative shareholder structure from September 2022. And nearly 5,000 customers of Axa Banque have already subscribed for a total amount of 12 million euros, according to the group.

The latter generated a net profit of 158 million euros in 2022, compared to 660.3 million euros in 2021, but the profit had then been inflated by a non-recurring amount of 509.1 million euros.

At the commercial level, the Crelan group realized 6.2 billion euros of new loans to Belgian households and two billion euros of new loans to the self-employed, small businesses and farmers in 2022.
