The high temperatures of the last few days are putting the nerves of the organizers of the Crans-Montana World Cup events to the test. The latter have decided to cancel the first downhill training scheduled for Thursday in order to preserve the Mont-Lachaux track.

A week after the end of the Courchevel and Méribel Worlds, the Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup is stopping in Crans-Montana this weekend. On the program on the Mont-Lachaux track: a descent on Saturday then a Super-G on Sunday. In recent days, the Haut-Plateau station has not been spared the mild temperatures, largely positive and making the work of preparing the route more difficult. If the weather forecast for the weekend, with a drop in mercury expected on Saturday, encourages optimism, the organizers preferred to cancel the first downhill training this Thursday in order to preserve the track. The skiers were therefore satisfied with a reconnaissance of the course. They should have the opportunity to do their only practice on Friday.
