Würzburg (dpa / lby) – The actor Sebastian Bezzel (51), known from the Eberhofer crime novels, sees capitalism critically. “We have to leave this form of capitalism behind, otherwise everything will soon collapse,” Bezzel told the “Main-Post” (Saturday) in Würzburg. “I’m definitely a friend of a top tax rate and a wealth tax, because otherwise we can never compensate for the inequality in society.”

Anyone who earns a lot of money has “the obligation to put it back into the economy,” said Bezzel. For example, he likes to eat well. “On the other hand, I have a reserved relationship with possessions,” says Bezzel. “It’s also an environmental concern. It can’t be that every child produces 50 kilos more plastic waste.” That’s why he prefers to buy his kids “second-hand Lego toys,” Bezzel said. “Little kids don’t really notice the difference.” But his son “actually has too much of it” anyway.
