CPM Leader KT Jalil Rejects Anilkumar’s Statement on Muslim Girls in Malappuram

Kozhikode: CPM leader Adv. K. KT Jalil rejected Anilkumar’s statement. Presenting one person’s mistake as a party’s decision is completely uninformed. Not tapping is not a sign of progress. Jalil also responded that the Communist Party has not made any Muslim girl untouchable in Kerala.

Political leaders and public servants should not react to the emotional problems of a group of people without proper conviction. One should keep one’s observations free from any kind of expression of opinion as belonging to the party one represents. It will be widely misused by communalists and anti-nationals. In a Facebook post, Jalil stated that the strength of the progressive movement in Malappuram is the educated and educated generation.

Thiruvananthapuram Nishagandhi Auditorium C. Anil Kumar’s controversial remarks were made at the Litmus’23- Atheist conference organized by Essence Global, a rationalist organization headed by Ravichandran. We want to meet new girls from Malappuram. We believe that the fact that there are girls in Malappuram who say they don’t want to be hit on the head by the Communist Party is a part of the arrival of the Communist Party in Kerala and education. The role of this movement in the emergence of independent thought was not small. If Muslim women are not starving, we should thank the Marxist party, not Essence. Anil Kumar said that hunger is not going away with the support of any rationalist movement.

Presenting a personal opinion as that of a party can lead to misunderstanding.

Not knocking is not a sign of progress. The Communist Party has not made any Muslim girl untouchable in Kerala. CPI(M) is the party that made the veiled Muslim sister a councilor in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation for many years. No one should try to blame the Communist Party on someone’s misunderstanding that free-thinking means non-coercion. Trying to present the mistake of one person as a decision of a party is completely ill-informed. The tendency to jump to the bullpen when you hear it is not right.

Just as the insults shouted by League leader Abdur Rahman Kallai about Minister Riaz is not the policy of the Muslim League, just as the uncultured words used by KM Shaji against Minister Veena George is not the policy of the League, Adv. Wise people should realize that Anilkumar’s opinion is not that of CPI(M).

It is a fact that a large percentage of public servants, literary-artistic-cultural leaders, media workers and religious-community leaders do not have even basic knowledge about the 26% Muslim community in Kerala. This is why these types of errors occur so often. No matter what political party they belong to.

Political leaders and public servants should not react to the emotional problems of a group of people except on the basis of sound conviction. There is nothing wrong with having your own opinions. But he must be careful not to make any expressions that would imply, even ironically, that his observations are those of the party he represents. Otherwise it will be widely misused by communalists and anti-nationals.

My friend and CPI(M) Alappuzha district committee member AM Arif MP’s widowed mother passed away a week ago. I visited his house. Arif led the funeral prayers of his mother. Kerala is a land of lakhs of comrades who live according to religious traditions. CPI(M) is a mass party.

Apart from that some interested parties Adv. It is not dignified to propagate Anil Kumar’s personal observation among the faithful Muslim community by pretending that it belongs to the CPI(M).

Our daughter Sumaiya Begum completed her MBBS and became a doctor. She studied at Central Government Medical College, Port Blair, Antaman. Passed with good marks. My wife and I came to Port Blair to join Sumaiya and attend the ‘Farewell Ceremony’ of the 2017 batch. Sumaiya welcomed the event. She is not far behind in progressive thinking. An educated and educated generation is the strength of the progressive movement in Malappuram.

Summary: KT Jaleel rejects CPM leader Adv K Anilkumar’s statement that it is the achievement of the Communist Party that there are girls who refuse to wear headscarves in Malappuram.
