That with the planned vacation in Florida will probably not be any more this year because of Corona. No need to despair: if I can’t travel to Key West, Key West comes to me. There is a café on Boxhagener Platz that offers a dish with the name of the southern tip of the USA.
The shop is called Cozys Coffee. Lots of light, lots of wood and a charming and knowledgeable operator behind the counter. She can explain exactly where the coffee beans come from and why the iced latte (4.20 euros) tastes a bit sour (because of the light roast).
There are several acai bowls on the menu. The South American berry is considered a so-called super food in Germany, it is supposed to protect the cells and help you lose weight. Believe it or not, at least it tastes good.
The bowl called Key West (€ 12.90) contains said miracle berry, banana, coconut flakes and mango. Since the sun rises even with thick clouds! The bowl is large, so the bowl can be a complete meal. But I treat myself to a monster brownie (3.50 euros). It also tastes fabulous.
