ROMA — Only one negative swab after ten days of isolation will suffice to declare Covid-19 positives cured.
The Technical-scientific committee accepts the request of Minister of Health Roberto Speranza and reduces the time of quarantine and fiduciary isolation as long as the molecular buffer and – in the case of close contacts with those who contracted the coronavirus – the quick test.
A way to lighten the diagnosis system by now haywire with hours of waiting for those who queue up to undergo the check, which will also be applied to schools, where many classes have stopped precisely because students and teachers are in seclusion.
For this it was decided that the possibility of carrying out the tests will also be extended to general practitioners and pediatricians.
The opinion on the tightening of the nightlife will arrive today, but it seems obvious that the experts approve the government’s line, in particular as regards the gatherings in streets and squares. Even if they remain perplexity about the prohibitions to be applied in private homes.
For this reason the Minister of Regional Affairs Francesco Boccia has called for today the control room with the governors and the representative of the mayors Antonio Decaro.
And with them we will discuss the new ban on contact sports. Five-a-side football, basketball and sports activities carried out by children in schools will have to stop if they are not “individual”.

The rules for those who are positive
Currently the quarantine and solitary confinement last 14 days and two or three tampons are needed to get out. The circular from the Ministry of Health which will be signed this morning changes criteria and procedures.
In case of asymptomatic positivity, the quarantine will last ten days and – if the molecular swab is negative – it will be possible to return to normal life.
In case of symptomatic positivity the quarantine will last ten days and if in the last three days there are no symptoms a negative molecular swab will be enough to exit.
In case of asymptomatic positivity with the molecular buffer that does not negativize, after 21 days you can still return to normal life. Scientists in fact agree that in this case we are no longer contagious.

Isolation and schools
Anyone who has entered the “close contacts” of a positive currently must be in quarantine for 14 days. From today the rules change and it will be enough to have a molecular swab or a negative rapid test to exit after 10 days. A rule that certainly serves to streamline procedures for schools and offices.
The quick test in fact, it provides the response after hours to such an extent that up to now it has been used for screening purposes and certainly speeds up the procedures for those who have to return to class or to work.
Soon this type of control it can be done by doctors in the clinic and not only in health facilities, so much so that the CTS has recommended the government to provide for the distribution of stocks.
And the Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina asked that it can be also carried out within schools. For this reason the commissioner Domenico Arcuri could intensify the delivery precisely to restart the classes that currently carry out distance learning.

The prohibitions
The green light to the “parking bans” for citizens in front of public places, but also in the streets and squares starting from 21, seems obvious. This is confirmed by the coordinator of the CTS Agostino Miozzo when he says that “we must respect the rules, avoid gatherings and pay particular attention to family dynamics, given that most of the infections take place there”. And so you can stay outdoors only if seated at the tables.
In the Dpcm that could be signed already tonight it will also be foreseen the closure of bars and restaurants at 24 and the ban on the sale of take-away alcohol after 10 pm.

The stop at parties
The line of Hope is traced: parties will be prohibited both in public places and in homes. A measure that puzzles many observers because it directly affects the private life of citizens. This is why it will be discussed again today with the governors and with the prime minister Giuseppe Conte to determine whether to confirm this line or, for events in homes, stop at one recommendation.
Certainly it will not be possible to have more than thirty guests at banquets after weddings, baptisms, confirmations. The rules are the same as those applied in restaurants: mask when not at the table, distancing if you are not joined, at the buffet served only by the dining room staff.

Stops soccer and basketball
They will be Contact sports banned again and therefore soccer, basketball, but also all the amateur activities carried out by the boys. The members of the technical-scientific committee had already asked the government to intervene to limit contact sports at an amateur level. The government would now seem oriented to follow the suggestion because scientists believe that these activities increase infections as the coronavirus spreads through saliva particles that are expelled with the breath, the spread of which increases when physical activity is performed (as well as when scream or sing). At the moment, this measure will not affect the professional level.

Incentives for smart working
The extension of the state of emergency until January 31, 2021 keeps the rules currently in force unchanged, but the government could ask companies to increase the percentage of smart working to 70% compared to the current one – 50% – to limit contacts between people in offices. In the office, according to the new decree, it is still mandatory to wear a mask, albeit following the guidelines for the various types of activities. You can only stay with your nose and mouth uncovered if you are alone in the room.
