Covid-19. The Côte-d’Or fifth most bereaved department in France this Monday, the incidence rate stagnates in Dijon

This Monday, the public body Public Health France reported three deaths in hospitals in Côte-d’Or. The department therefore ranks fifth among the most bereaved territories in France, at the same level as the Bouches-du-Rhône. By way of comparison, the North and Paris, which are the most affected departments, each have five deaths in hospitals. The Côte-d’Or also accounts for most of the region’s deaths: five people have died in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

Since the start of the epidemic, 967 people have died from Covid-19 in hospitals in Côte-d’Or.

More than thirty patients

As for hospital pressure, it remains lower compared to the levels known during the first and second wave. But 36 patients are still hospitalized on Monday, including five in intensive care or critical care. In the region, 193 patients were admitted including 36 in critical care.

A trompe-l’œil incidence rate

The incidence rate for Côte-d’Or is 56.9 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants. That of the Dijon metropolis stands at 59.9 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Finally, that of the region stands at 74.7 / 100,000.

Be careful, however, with this incidence rate, which would tend to stagnate or even drop slightly at first glance: it is necessary to take into account November 11, a public holiday where very few tests are carried out.
