“Long covid usually occurs in patients with mild symptoms and on average, they experience long covid symptoms for more than 3 weeks, even months after the initial symptoms are experienced by the patient,” he said, in a statement received by Suara.com.
The pain can last a long time, depending on the severity of the disease. The more severe the symptoms of COVID-19, the longer the effect on COVID-19 patients. The most common symptoms during long covid are headaches, myalgia (muscle pain), aches, and so on.
According to dr. Muhammad again, the symptoms experienced by long covid patients are the same as a variety of symptoms of COVID-19 such as excessive fatigue, breathing problems, joint pain and chest pain. In fact, there are reports that there are psychological problems in patients after being infected with COVID-19.
“The impact of long covid certainly causes disruption in the quality of life of a person in living his daily life due to physical and psychological disturbances by COVID-19,” he added.
Meanwhile, dr. Nurhayati, Sp.P, a Lung Specialist doctor from Primaya Hospital Karawang added that a person is said to have long covid due to the length of treatment and the symptoms that arise, from mild to severe.

He added that long covid was related to psychological experiences experienced during illness. This experience is sometimes still felt after the patient has recovered.
