In the country, to date, 30,473,966 tests have been processed. Thus, Colombia has reached 5,357,767 confirmed coronavirus cases since the pandemic began, in March 2020.

On the other hand, the report shows 57 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total number of deaths in Colombia amounts to 130,395.
In total, there are 149,155 cases that remain active in Colombia.
In the last 24 hours, in addition, 15,913 recovered patients were reported. Thus, there are already 5,059,323 patients who to date have overcome covid-19 in the country.

Regarding the progress of the National Vaccination Plan, the health authority reported that, with a cut-off at 11:59 pm this Saturday, January 8, the country has applied 66’427.277 doses of the covid-19 vaccine. Of that number, 33,393,919 correspond to the first dose; 23,764,198 at second dose; 3,872,825, booster doses, and 5’396,335 are from the single-dose vaccine.
