COVID-19 also killed the mother of the Burgas artist Lora Yaneva, who died at the Burgas University Hospital after a few days of fighting the coronavirus. Mother Lydia Kuneva is also an artist, and 2 years ago she and her daughter organized a joint exhibition in one of the galleries in the seaside town.

Lydia Kuneva passed away today, said her colleagues from the Society of Burgas Artists. Only 14 days earlier, 36-year-old Lora Yaneva, 6 months pregnant, lost the battle with the coronavirus.

The mother was admitted to the University Hospital in Burgas on March 19, and on the 23rd she deteriorated sharply and was intubated. Doctors perform an emergency section and degenerate the baby, which is still under the care of neonatologists. On March 28, Laura died in the intensive care unit.

“The tragedy in Laura’s family is huge. We still can’t accept her loss, and now her mother is gone,” said a close friend of the 36-year-old artist.
