The musician, 54, was found dead of a apparent self-inflicted shot at his home in Florida, he communicated the Office of the Commissioner of the County of Pasco this Saturday.
Agents found Martin’s body when they arrived at his home to deliver multiple arrest warrants issued from the state of Tennessee, where the singer was charged with several counts of sexual abuse of minors, according the Tampa Bay Times newspaper.
Previously, on January 27, Martin was arrested in relation to another case, after an alleged minor victim told police that the singer was exposed and masturbated in front of her. Days later he was released after paying bail.
Martin was also accused of sexually assaulting three children under 13 between 2014 and 2018. The musician surrendered and the trial was set for next month.
