Costco embarks on grocery delivery

The retailer Costco launches in the delivery of groceries in association with the American company Instacart.

It is therefore possible, since Thursday, to receive your groceries the same day, without having to move, by ordering it in one of the 76 participating Costco Canadian warehouses.

Instacart, which already ships to more than 140 chains across North America, promises to deliver orders to customers in under two hours.

“Instacart delivery will help us serve more families than ever before and we see this new offering as a great complement to our two-day grocery delivery service launched in 2018,” explained Pierre Riel, Senior Vice President and National Director of Costco Wholesale Canada, by press release.

To take advantage of this new service, you do not need to be a Costco member. Those who don’t have their subscription card can still access the variety of warehouse foods through the Instacart app.

Members still remain privileged. A new site, sameday.costco.ca, has been designed for them so that they can take advantage of discounts on the grocery cart.
