Coronavirus: the situation remains stable in the Southern Alps

The still stable situation in the Southern Alps. The ARS PACA communicated on Tuesday are the latest assessment related to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is, you know, now transmitted weekly.

In the Southern Alps, there are no longer any people hospitalized or even present in the intensive care units. There have been no new cases of several weeks now on the territory of Hautes-Alpes and Alpes de Haute-Provence. People still remain in immediate care on the Briançon side

A total of 19 people have lost their lives in the Alpes de Haute-Provence and 20 in the Hautes-Alpes since the start of the health crisis.

In the South PACA region, 4 additional deaths have been reported since the last assessment.

– 521 people are hospitalized (- 133 compared to the last assessment);
– 24 people are in intensive care (- 16 compared to the last assessment)

Since the start of the epidemic:

– 17,753 people (+126 compared to the last assessment) tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
– 940 people died (+ 4 compared to the last assessment)

In France, the number of hospitalized and intensive care patients continues to decrease every day. More than 29,800 deaths have been counted since the start of this pandemic.

Note that the WHO has indicated that this pandemic is “still far from over” and “is accelerating” even in the world.
