José Luis Alomía, general director of Epidemiology, detailed in a press conference from the National Palace that there are 78,907 suspected cases, although with 820,675 accumulated negative cases in the country.
Infected, at risk of kidney damage
A recent study has revealed that patients hospitalized for Covid-19 They may have a high risk of suffering kidney damage, this as part of the complications caused by the disease that has added more than 967 thousand deaths worldwide.
The research was led by Rush University Medical Center expert Jochen Reiser. The study ensures that patients experience high levels of suPAR, a protein that predicts the aforementioned complaints.
