Coronavirus. Lanciano Hospital. Outbreak in the Medicine Department: the positives rise

The Covid-19 outbreak widens in the Medicine department of the Lanciano hospital (Ch). At the moment there are 10 positives.

They also include four of the various patients who have passed away in recent days. In the ward, in the space of 72 hours, nine deaths were recorded, out of about 17 patients. An inexplicable surge in deaths and for this reason swabs were carried out on the bodies. Tests also on other hospitalized patients, some of whom were actually infected. And for them, gradually, the transfer to other health facilities was arranged, including Atessa. All, at the time of their entry to the “Renzetti” were negative.

“It should be understood that it has happened – says Francesco Taglieri, vice president of the Regional Health Commission, who asked for clarification from the ASL leaders -, but clear information on the active cluster is not provided”.
