Coronavirus. Italy announces second death, Iran fifth

The country registers this Saturday 30 cases of the new coronavirus, where the epidemic has been spreading to the north.

Italian health authorities had announced Friday 15 new cases
of the coronavirus north of the Lombardy region in just one day.

Iran counts five dead

In the Islamic Republic of Iran, the total number of cases this Saturday rose to 28, with 10 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The Iranian Ministry of Health spokesman revealed on state television that one of these new cases eventually died. It is the fifth fatality in the country due to COVID-19, since Wednesday. They will all be elderly patients.

The location of the death was not released, but Kianouche Jahanpour indicated that eight of the infected people had been hospitalized in the holy Shi’ite city of Qom, 150 kilometers south of Tehran. Qom is a university city and equally attracts thousands of pilgrims.
