Nine infected people and 94 in quarantine – this is the result of a wedding that took place on Saturday, August 1 in Rzeszów. Six of the nine infected are residents of the capital of the Podkarpackie Province. The rest are residents of the Rzeszów poviat.

– 92 people and two staff members attended the wedding. All of them were placed under quarantine – Dorota Gibała from the provincial sanitary facility in Rzeszów informed in an interview with “Gazeta Wyborcza”.

12 tests for the presence of coronavirus gave a positive result in the hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration. Until Friday alone, five medical workers, three contact persons and four patients were confirmed there, one of whom died as a result of complications.

– All staff and patients of the surgery department were examined. Admissions to the gynecology and obstetrics clinic were suspended. Examinations of patients and staff are in progress, persons from contact are quarantined – Gibała said.

The third focus of infections is the Provincial Clinical Hospital No.2 in Rzeszów, where the results of tests for the presence of coronavirus were positive in seven people. Five of those infected are medical workers, the other two are contacts. They are inhabitants of the Przeworsk poviat.
