And he continued: “On January 7, 100 percent of the population was susceptible. And today, with the numbers we have, even contemplating that many have not been detected, there is still a large percentage of the population that is still susceptible”.

Regarding the new criterion that allows the diagnosis of a cohabitant of a confirmed case with symptoms without the need to perform a swab, the official said that “It is a common practice in epidemiological surveillance.”

“Right now, more than 95% of the viruses that are isolated are SARS-Cov-2. This makes it possible to speed up the times to diagnose and isolate, and to make the use of swabs more efficient ”, he explained.

Vizzotti also said that “a working group was organized with the Ethics and Human Rights Committee of the Ministry to think in terms of the impact that the coronavirus has had in Argentina the prioritization and stages of vaccination before the possibility of entering a vaccine ”.

Regarding the saturation of the health system, he concluded that “the place of greatest tension was seen in the city of Buenos Aires, especially in the private sector, but it has already stabilized. Now it is being seen in the first cordon of the province of Buenos Aires ”.
