Coronavirus in Argentina: 66 deaths and 5,469 cases were registered

The health portfolio indicated that 1,708 are interned in intensive care units, with a percentage of occupancy of adult beds of 58.6% in the country and 68.5% in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area.

74.76% (4,089 people) of the total infected (5,469) correspond to the City of Buenos Aires and the province of Buenos Aires. Of the 294,569 positive cases, 71.86% (211,702) were discharged.

The evening report stated that 30 men died, 8 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 5 in the City of Buenos Aires; 3 in the province of Córdoba; 1 in the province of Entre Ríos; 11 in the province of Jujuy; 1 in the province of Mendoza; 1 the province of Salta; and 16 women; 7 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 1 in the City of Buenos Aires; 1 in the province of Chaco; 1 in the province of Córdoba; 5 in the province of Jujuy and 1 in the province of Salta.

The morning report reported that 13 men died, 8 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 2 in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 1 in the province of Chaco; 1 in the province of Entre Ríos; 1 in the province of Mendoza; and 6 women; 5 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 1 in the province of Chaco. At the moment the number of deceased people is 5,657.

It was clarified that a deceased person, resident in the province of Buenos Aires, was notified without sex data.

Of the total infected, 1,154 (0.4%) are imported, 75,051 (25.5%) close contacts of confirmed cases, 175,520 (59.6%) cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.

Today 3,117 cases were registered in the province of Buenos Aires; in the City of Buenos Aires, 972; in Chaco, 68; in Chubut, 9; in Córdoba, 141; in Corrientes, 3; Entre Ríos, 102; in Formosa, 1; in Jujuy, 272; in La Pampa, 1; La Rioja, 34; in Mendoza, 210; in Neuquén, 27; in Río Negro, 86; in Salta, 92; in Santa Cruz, 42; in Santa Fe, 160; in Santiago del Estero, 33; Tierra del Fuego, 57; and in Tucumán 42. Meanwhile, Catamarca, Misiones, San Juan and San Luis did not report positive cases.

The total accumulated by district indicates that the province of Buenos Aires adds 183,093 cases; the City of Buenos Aires, 77,491; Catamarca, 63; Chaco, 4,436; Chubut, 403; Cordoba, 4,592; Corrientes, 228; Entre Ríos, 1,631; Formosa, 80; Jujuy, 4,765; La Pampa, 184; La Rioja, 750; Mendoza, 3,330; Missions, 59; Neuquén, 1,834; Rio Negro, 3,854; Jump, 1,088; San Juan, 22; San Luis, 34; Santa Cruz, 1,034; Santa Fe, 3,293; Santiago del Estero, 282; Tierra del Fuego, 1,419; and Tucumán, 604.

In addition, 13 cases are included in Tierra del Fuego in the Falkland Islands, according to press information because, due to the illegal occupation of the United Kingdom, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, it is not possible to have their own information on the impact of the Covid-19 in that part of the Argentine territory.

During the morning report, it was highlighted that “laboratory tests continue to increase”, given that 17,756 new samples were taken on Saturday and 966,926 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out since the beginning of the outbreak, which is equivalent to 21,308.8 samples per million
