There are indications that Covid-19 did not originate in the conscious animal market in Wuhan, China, but had lain dormant in various parts of the world for years.
That’s what epidemiologist Tom Jefferson from Oxford University says in The Telegraph. His claim does not come out of the blue. Last week, it was announced that Spanish virologists found traces of the coronavirus in steel wastewater from March last year. Traces were found in Brazil in November and in Italy in December. For example, there are more isolated places where the virus suddenly appeared. “I think the virus had spread all over the world before it broke out,” said Jefferson. “It is probably a dormant virus that woke up under the right conditions.”
According to Jefferson, there is something that activates the virus. He suspects that sewers and shared toilets play a role. “There are already indications that there are high concentrations of the virus in the sewers in many places. There is also increasing evidence that it can be passed through the feces. There is a high concentration where the sewage water is four degrees, which may indicate an ideal environment. That is also the temperature that you have in many meat processing companies. ”
