Coronavirus data in Italy today, Thursday 27 August

In the last 24 hours in Italy have been registered 1,411 new cases of coronavirus infection and 5 new deaths, for a total of 263,949 cases and 35,463 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. The people currently hospitalized for COVID-19 in Italian intensive care wards are 67 (two fewer than yesterday) and those in other departments 1,131 (76 more than yesterday). The people tested in the last 24 hours were 57,640, for a total of 4,934,818 since the beginning of the epidemic.

The greatest number of infections today has been recorded in Lombardy (286). Followed by Emilia-Romagna (171), Lazio (152), Veneto (132) and Campania (130). In no region today there have been no new cases of contagion. The provinces where the highest number of cases has been ascertained are Milan (136), Rome (115), Naples (87), Sassari (38), Forlì-Cesena (37), Brescia (31), Treviso (31), Ravenna (30), Bologna (30), Brescia ( 30) and Fermo (30).
