Coronavirus – All indicators turn green

Over the same period, an average of 8.6 people per day died while carrying the virus (-8%), bringing the death toll to 32,902 since the start of the pandemic in Belgium. In addition, almost 9,100 daily tests were carried out on average, for a positivity rate of 19.7%. Between 21 and 27 October there were an average of 83.1 hospital admissions per day due to covid, down 25% compared to the previous reporting period. Currently 1,218 coronavirus positive people are hospitalized, including 69 patients in intensive care. The reproduction rate of the virus is 0.8. When it is less than 1, this indicator means that the outbreak tends to accelerate. The incidence, which provides the number of new cases per 100,000 population, reached 250 in 14 days. (Belgian)
