Coronavirus: 2,189 new positive cases and 26 deaths in Argentina

He Ministry of Health of the Nation this Sunday released a new health report with the number of positives and deaths from coronavirus in Argentina.

2,189 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed. With these figures, they add 59,933 positives in the country.

Of the total of these cases, 1,063 (1.8%) are imported, 21,599 (36%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 25,600 (42.7%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.

The province of Córdoba registered 5 confirmations, although the local part is awaited for more details.

The evening report reports 16 new deaths: 8 men, four aged 63, 94, 78 and 75, from the province of Buenos Aires; four of 92, 87, 63 and 73 years of age, from the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); and 8 women, one 90 years old, from the province of Buenos Aires; seven of 91, 85, 98, 82, 77, 95 and 69 years, from the City of Buenos Aires (CABA)

During the morning, 10 new deaths were recorded. 6 men, three 62, 86 and 62 years old, residing in the province of Buenos Aires; one 87 years old, in the province of Neuquén; one of 66 years, in Mendoza; one of 89 years old, resident in Río Negro; and four women, three aged 86, 68 and 77, residing in the province of Buenos Aires; and one 89-year-old resident in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA).

So far, 1,232 people have died in Argentina from coronavirus-related causes. The health ministry clarified that an 89-year-old man from Río Negro was disconnected from the list because his death is associated with another event.
