Corona: waiting for the BA.5 vaccine? Demand for the BA.1 vaccine has so far been cautious

After all 9% of people in Germany have so far received a second booster vaccination, but most of them with previous vaccines. Saxony leads with 3.5 percent, followed by Thuringia (4.4 percent) and Saxony-Anhalt (5.9 percent), with Schleswig-Holstein leading with 16.9 percent. In the age group 60 and over, the national rate is already a good 24.9%. In March and April, the demand here was significantly higher than it is today, with over 100,000 vaccinations per day in some cases.

A year ago, the first round of booster vaccinations picked up speed, especially in November. Several hundred thousand people often received the third dose every day, in December it was even more than a million in 24 hours.
