The number of people infected with corona virus in Britain increased to 13, after it was confirmed that 4 new cases were on board a cruise ship in Japan.
The passengers were among 30 British and two Irish passengers, held for 14 days at Aru Park Hospital in Wirral.
The four people were taken to a private isolation hospital in Milton Keynes on Sunday.
The “Diamond Princess” ship was held in quarantine in Japan after medical tests revealed positive results of HIV infection in more than 600 people from the ship’s passengers, in the largest gathering of the virus of its type outside China.
It had 3,700 people on board, and after tests, cases showing negative results for the virus began to leave the ship, after being subjected to a 14-day quarantine.
74 Britons were on the ship before they were returned to the United Kingdom on Saturday.
The British Ministry of Health said that an examination had been made of the passengers on the flight from Japan, adding that no symptoms of the disease had been seen on any of them.
